We reached out to SMCISD's Summer Child Nutrition Program earlier this school year to offer the church as a location for their summer meal program. Staples UMC will be hosting this program only for the month of June, as we are not eligible to be a full time location yet. From June 1st-25th from 11-11:30a you will find a SMCISD Child Nutrition employee as well as a member of Staples UMC at the church to hand out meals. We are a "grab and go" site, meaning participants will take the meal with them to enjoy at home. Your child DOES NOT have to be enrolled at SMCISD to participate, which is great news for this location! Enrolled students aged 18 and younger are eligible, and enrolled special needs students aged 21 and younger are also eligible. Your student does not have to be with you to pick up a meal, however, proof of enrollment is needed. Eligible proof is student ID, report card, attendance record, official letter or email showing students enrolled and ID cards issued by a child care facility.
