The church was destroyed by fire on January 6, 1936, but rebuilt and dedicated on October 4th of the same year. The new parsonage was completed in 1956. WHAT WE BELIEVE

We are a United Methodist Congregation

As part of the Rio Texas Conference, we embrace the connectional nature of Methodism. This means we believe in working together to accomplish God’s mission, rather than acting solely as an individual congregation.

We believe in God’s love for all people
Every person is God’s creation, and God reaches out to us with unconditional love. Despite our imperfections and sins, God forgives us, offering grace and salvation as an expression of that love.

We are called to be God’s hands and feet
In response to God’s love, we are called to serve others. Our faith compels us not only to worship God but also to actively care for our neighbors through acts of kindness and compassion, bringing God’s kingdom closer to earth.

We are on a journey to become more like Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is our Lord, Savior, and ultimate example of how to live. Through worship, learning, and action, we strive to grow in Christlikeness, sharing His love with the world.

We are called to share the Good News
Our mission includes sharing our faith and the transformative message of Jesus Christ. We aim to help others discover the love, grace, and salvation God offers through His Son.
